About Day Three

Our day started with a quick trip to Jamestown where we caught a glimpse of what it would have been like to start a new life on a new continent. What struggles they had! The weather, traffic, and our inexperience with the area caused several readjustments in the schedule. We did not arrive at Arlington Cemetery until 1:30 pm. We had some quiet time there contemplating the cost of freedom. We were all impressed with the tomb of the unknown soldier and how respectfully all the visitors treat the "holiness" of the place. After three hours of wandering through the gravestones and memorials, we loaded back into the cars and headed for the Amish country in Pennsylvania. We had a hearty meal at an Amish restaurent and found our Hotel around 8:30 pm. Worship was spent contemplating the religious freedoms we enjoy in this country and how God has blessed the United States because of its stand on freedom of choice. God has blessed us with a great many blessings, including intelligent and wonderful students! We are having a great time!
